I’ve never really felt the need to develop a storyline outside the regular blog before, however, being around all these creative people on forums and such as well as the complete contrast between Daffodil and Damson has made me want to understand them more. Therefore, I’m hoping to add tidbits of information here as time goes on. 🙂
Ten Things – Damson
I became intrigued by the ten things meme when Rad wrote one about Jenny from her story Taken (find it here).
10. Damson is really quite jealous of her twin sister. Although Damson tried to do everything right while being a teenager, her twin got way more attention for doing the wrong things.
9. All Damson wants in the world is to help people. She was shattered by the loss of her grandparents who really were her biggest role models and hopes to prevent others from losing their parents by becoming a doctor.
8. She respects both her parents, but has some contempt towards her mother for not being there when Damson needed her most.
7. She wants to marry someone who is willing to be a stay-at-home Dad
6. She is torn between having a family and having a career
5. She thinks that if she has a child there will be one person in the world who could never leave her or fail to love her.
4. She works extremely hard at everything she does, and hopes that somebody will notice.
3. Part of her wants to be a risk taker like her twin
2. She is fiercely loyal and torn between kicking her sister out and letting her stay so she can watch over her.
1. She’s terrified of failing.
Ten Things – Daffodil
10. Although her relationships with her family are not strong, she would do anything (literally anything) to protect them.
9. She is upset that although she gets the same grades as Damson and works just as hard, she is labelled the “bad twin”
8. She is very, very smart.
7. She secretly harbors a desire for a large family.
6. Her grandparents ghosts scare her, not because she is afraid of death, but because it is a constant reminder she failed to get to know them when they were alive.
5. She wants to be a criminal not because she wants to rule the world, but because she wants to have better knowledge of how to protect those she loves.
4. She wishes she was friends with Damson
3. If she isn’t torch holder she wants to move in with Casie in order to protect the younger girl from the loss of her mother
2. She wants to adopt not because she doesn’t want to take time off of work, but because she wants to give those children a chance of growing up differently than they could have otherwise
1. She loves the colour pink.
